Tamara has been providing counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups for over 30 years. She is one of the two founding partners of Century Mental Health, Inc. Her work focuses on people's ability to have positive and meaningful relationships with others, while remaining true to their own selves. She explores how past relationships impact our experiences in the present. Tamara sees therapy as an opportunity to examine the how and why of the way we think and how these perceptions affect our relationships. She assists people in understanding more about their own defenses and patterns of behavior, thereby bringing about better relationships and more options for themselves. In a warm and respectful manner, she helps people to navigate through life’s challenges and transitions, developing the skills necessary for a more satisfying and creative life.

Tamara is a graduate of Syracuse University and received her Masters Degree from Catholic University's National Catholic School of Social Service. She has been trained in psychodynamic, experiential, cognitive and gestalt therapies and has had additional training in family and couples therapy. She works with both adults and adolescents. Tamara is a member of The Academy of Certified Social Workers and The American Academy of Psychotherapists. She is also a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. She has been listed in Who's Who of American Women since 1981. She has a special interest in working with depression and anxiety, relationships, addictions, stress management, life transitions, and cancer-related issues.
